Girls earn top spots at Greenville meet

On Wednesday June 2, the girls track team traveled to Greenville to compete in the Daily News Track Meet.  Amber TerHaar won the discus and broke her school record with a throw of 118’ 10”.  Rieley Hondalus also earned a first place by winning the 100 meter dash with a season best time of 13.4. The 3200 meter relay team of Amanda Balczak, Sommer VanDyke, Katie Weiler, and Breeann Ovokaitys also took first place.  Other top placers included:

Second: Amber TerHaar Shot put; Rieley Hondalus 400 meter dash;  Sommer VanDyke 800 meter run; Jessica Titus 3200 meter run; 400 meter relay team of Brittani Tozer, Abby VanDusen, Mercedes Oliver, and Heather Holmes.

Third: Heather Holmes High Jump; Kayla Ovokaitys in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs;
1600 meter relay team of Katie Weiler, Heather Holmes, Sommer VanDyke, and Rieley Hondalus.
