The Cedar Springs Girls track team hosted West Catholic and Belding on Thursday, April 15, for an OK Blue Conference double dual track meet. The Red Hawks defeated Belding by a score of 95 to 38 and lost to West Catholic 73 to 64. The team’s record is 1 and 1 in the OK Blue Conference and 3 and 2 overall for the year.

On Saturday April 17, the team traveled to Sparta for the Spartan Tri-Level Classic. In the 11-12 grade division the team scored 45 points and placed 5th out of 8 teams. Junior Amber TerHaar took home the only first place of the day. Amber won the discus and set a new school record with a distance of 114 feet 5 inches.
In the 9-10 grade division the team scored 58 points and placed 4th out of 8 teams.

2nd Place: Rieley Hondalus Long Jump and 100 meter dash; Briana Pierson high jump; Abby VanDusen 100 meter hurdles; Sommer VanDyke 400 meter run; Amanda Zinn 800 meter run; Katie Weiler 1600; Jessica Titus 3200 meter run; Amanda Balczak 300 meter hurdles.
3rd Place: Jeanette Sukstas Shot Put and Discus; Amanda Balczak 100 meter hurdles; Brittani Tozer 100 meter dash; Kayla Ovokaitys 800 and 1600 meter runs; Shaelyn Fasel 300 meter hurdles; Sommer VanDyke 200 meter dash.
