Find SomeBunny to Love at the Humane Society

(Grand Rapids, MI – February 2, 2010) The Humane Society of Kent County invites the community to Find Somebunny to Love on Saturday, February 13 from 12 pm – 4 pm at the Humane Society of Kent County, 3077 Wilson NW, Grand Rapids.

“We have more rabbits available for adoption now then after Easter which is typically our busiest time of the year for rabbit intake,” said Karen Terpstra, executive director at the Humane Society of Kent County. “We also have many different breeds to choose from.”

At this Valentine-themed event, all rabbits will be available for special adoption fees. All neutered male rabbits will be available for $20, all spayed female rabbits will be available for $40, and all unaltered rabbits will be available for $5.

“Rabbits have wonderful temperaments and make great companions,” explained Terpstra. “And even if people have never adopted a rabbit before, we offer education for the new rabbit adopter.”

Find SomeBunny to Love will also feature free information on rabbit behavior and care and our rabbit adoption specialist will be available to answer questions.
