The weather outside is frightful But the fire is so delightful…

It looks like we’re going to have a white Christmas.

The first two weeks brought winter on with a vengeance. We received our first snowstorm of the season the evening of Thursday, December 3, with several inches of snow and freezing rain dumped across the area. Schools all across the area closed Friday, December 4, but Cedar Springs schools did remain open.
On Tuesday, December 9, another storm began that may be one of the hardest of the season. Snow and freezing rain blanketed the area, with over 300 closings on Wednesday, including all schools in the area. As we are here on Wednesday trying to get the paper out, we are under a blizzard warning from 1 p.m. Wednesday to 4 p.m. Thursday.
