The American Legion Glen Hill Post in Cedar Springs presented a $200 check to the Cedar Springs Ministerial Association Tuesday to help them fund needy families. According to Commander Bill Gregones, they have been doing this for more than 10 years, and are glad to be able to provide the funds from their treasury.

“We are happy to do this because we know there are a lot of families that need it,” said Gregones.

Pastor Craig Carter, chair of the Ministerial Association, said that they have been going through applications for the holiday season and are seeing a different theme this year. “A lot of people are asking for help paying utilities and things,” he said. “We really appreciate the gift.”

Gregones said they also help fund the Salvation Army.
