The awesome Mrs. Hillman with her awesome 3rd grade class.

Mrs. Virginia Hillman, 3rd grade teacher at Beach Elementary in Cedar Springs, is the latest teacher to receive the WGVU Cool Teacher Award. WGVU  honored Mrs. Hillman and her class with a pizza party.

Olivia Branch, a student in Mrs. Hillman’s room, nominated her for the award. Olivia loves that Mrs. Hillman is teaching her class about science with fun and unusual science experiments. The following is Olivia’s letter:

“Dear WGVU, My teacher, Mrs. Hillman is the coolest teacher. She makes learning fun! She does cool science experiments with us. We did a really neat experiment with food coloring and vegetables. We watched them turn colors to learn about the root system. She plays telling time bingo with us. She plays math games with us and rewards us with treats. Mrs. Hillman is the best teacher and she is very nice. Thank you, Olivia Branch”
