Joshua James Grindle

March 7, 1982 – November 22, 2009

_C-obit-GrindleJoshua James Grindle born March 7, 1982, was called home after a lengthy illness on November 22, 2009, to be with the Lord. Josh lived in Cedar Springs, MI for all of his 27 years. He was a wonderful father, partner, son, grandson and brother.  He also loved the outdoors and all animals. He is survived by life long partner Melissa Y. Cook and 3 children, daughter Kylee, 7, and 2 sons, Kayden, 5, and Kamdon, 1 ½ years; parents Gerald (Curly) J. and Penny S. Grindle; brothers Jason and Jared; sister Jennifer Grindle; grandparents Earl and JoAnn Smith, David and Mary Riley and Evelyn (Jean) Grindle; uncles and aunts,  Rich Smith, Dennis Grindle, Mel and Pam DeKraker, RuthAnn Fenske; and many special cousins and friends.  Preceded in death and welcomed home by grandfather Gerald K. Grindle and grandmother Diana Smith. You will be forever and always remembered. The service for Joshua will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 4714 Thirteen Mile Rd., Rockford, with Pastor Carl Reed officiating. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the needs of the Family. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Pederson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to help with the funeral expenses in honor of Josh.
