Local Police updating business “Emergency Contact” list

From Chief Roger Parent

The Cedar Springs Police Department understands how important it is to have an “emergency contact list” for the many businesses in the city. If we discover an unlocked door or a broken window to a business in the middle of the night, we need current contact information on who to call. Ownership and employees can change as well as phone numbers.

Officers have started to make contact with each business location. Our current list has 179 entries. We have already discovered that many of the businesses require changes. A patrol officer will continue to contact business owners over the next few weeks. If you have not been contacted by the end of the year please contact police clerk Robyn Britton, at 696-1311 x 106.

Once our list has been completed we encourage all business owners to keep us updated with any new changes.
