Girls have best finish ever in cross-country

The Cedar Springs Varsity girls cross-country team competed in the Division 2 state finals on Saturday at MIS Speedway.
The CS Athletic Boosters provided a charter bus for transportation to and from the meet.
The team finished in ninth place overall, which is the highest finish ever for a CS girls cross-country team.
Breeann Ovokaitys, senior, placed 15th in the race and earned All State honors as well as All State Academic Honors. Her time was 19:10.
Freshman Katie Weiler also was All State by finishing 21st in the race out of 250 plus runners.
