Youth wrestlers take medals

Youth wrestlers of West Michigan Pursuit left the West Region and traveled to Central Montcalm last week where they competed against MYWAY members from the North Region. Traveling to other regions gives them an opportunity to wrestle a wider range of kids they could potentially see again later this year at State Finals in Battle Creek.

“WMP wrestlers had their best showing so far this year,” said owner Dave Andrus. “We entered 11 wrestlers and placed 10.”

Taylor Andrus, Anthony Brew, Gage Gardner, Corbin Orange, Nate Webb, and Nathan Elliston all took home first place medals. Anthony Ggoodfellow, Michael Jordan, and Nathan Male took second, and Mayson Levondoski took 3rd.

This Sunday they’re close to home in Tri County where they’ll continue in their pursuit of the podium.
