HAROLD L. POTTER


Harold L. Potter age 82 of Cedar Springs, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home. Harold was born June 2, 1938 in Cedar Springs, MI the son of Merritt and Beulah (Sneathen) Potter. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-60. He grew up on a dairy farm and had been a leader with the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Red Flannel Rod & Gun Club where he taught hunter safety classes. Surviving are his wife, Helen whom he married on August 5, 1961; children, Harold “Les” (Denise) Potter Jr, Eileen (Randy) Driesenga, Emmett (Sonila) Potter, Elizabeth (Jim) Johnson; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donovan (Jane) Potter, Daniel (Alice) Potter; sister, Elsie (Bob) Sly; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Carl Potter. The family greeted friends Tuesday, December 15 at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service was held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Camp Lake Baptist Church 12150 N. Division, Sparta. Pastor Dennis Tyson officiating. Interment Solon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Lake Baptist Church.

JAMES P. SEE


James P. See age 80 of Rockford, died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at his home. Jim was born in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Isaac and Ione (Clifford) See. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960-65. He was a member of the Cedar Springs American Legion where he ran the bingo for 22 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and retired from Steelcase. Surviving are his children, Debi (Garrett) Hanson, Patrick (Kathy) See, Gerald See, Dawn and Edward Smith, David Smith, Eric See; grandchildren, Nicole Miller, Jessica Krueger, Breanna Smith, Brayden Smith, Christa See, Kristen See, James See; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bob, George, Ron, Jack, Tom and Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy in 2018; grandchildren, Brendan Smith and Katie Grace Smith; siblings, Don, Roger and Shirley. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The family will not be present. A private family graveside will be held Friday at Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. Rev. Fr. Lam Le officiating. Memorials may be made to the Cedar Springs American Legion.

U.S. Air Force Airman Janaye V. Dotson

U.S. Air Force Airman Janaye V. Dotson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Dotson is the daughter of Jamie Dotson, and granddaughter of James and Susan Pike, all of Sand Lake, Mich.

Janaye is a 2017 graduate of Tri County High School, Howard City, Mich.

DENNIS J. HAYDEN, SR.


Dennis J. Hayden, Sr. age 60 of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Dennis was born January 18, 1957 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Earle and Ruby (Beach) Hayden. He graduated from Cedar Springs High School in 1975 and served in the U.S. Air Force. Surviving are his children, Dennis Jr., Brandi and Billie Jo; father, Earle Hayden; sisters, Earla (Phillip) Alber, Donna Johnson; brothers, Owen (Nancy Czyzewski) Hayden, Aaron (Kelly) Hayden; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. The family will greet friends Thursday, January 25th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Pastor David Fernlund officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Degage Ministries or Mel Trotter Ministries.

Duane W. Bradley

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert & Lottie Rens; sister, Shirley Flood; son in-law, Fred Taylor. Duane is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Ellen Bradley; his 6 children, Reba & Gerald Albritton, Janet & Doug Plumb, Yvonne Taylor, Dale & Jacki Bradley, Linda & Joe Maxim, Doug & Tracy Bradley; 15 grandchildren, Melissa (Scott), Nicole (Matt), Andrea (Reggie), Tim (Angie), Troy (Tiffany), Jessica (Nate), Tiffany (Scott), Krystal (Donte), Joanna (Lee), Derk (Bridget), Dalton (Lindsey), Dillion (Sam), Angie (Paul), Ashley (Eddie), Nicole Porter, Jacob Porter; 25 great grandchildren; sister, Pam & Gene Gibson; brother in-law, Harry Flood. Duane served in the United States Marine Corp and then the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Ronda Tire for many years until retirement. He loved to play pool, golf, and cards and enjoyed his cocktails. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. Friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Monday, Noon – 2:00 P.M. and 4:00-6:00 P.M. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to assist the family with expenses.

RANDALL H. INGRAHAM


C-obit-IngrahamRandall H. Ingraham, 70 of Sand Lake, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Faith Hospice – Trillium Woods. Randy was born May 26, 1944 in Greenville, Michigan, the son of Colin and Dixie (Harris) Ingraham. He graduated from Cedar Springs High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 – 1966. He was a very active person who cared about and enjoyed others. He always had a Harley and enjoyed racing motorcycles and riding cross country with his wife. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, and boating. He worked hard and owned his own company, which allowed him to provide for his family. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Shelia (Baxter); children, David Ingraham, DenaJo Rogers; grandchildren, Nickolas, SaraJo, KaileyJo, Shane; brother, TobyJoe (Gayla) Ingraham; sister, Kathy Wisler. The family will greet friends Friday, January 2 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where services will be held Saturday 2:00 pm, with viewing starting at 1:00 pm. The family would like you to dress casually – boots and blue jeans. Mr. Ross Merlington officiating. Private interment at Trufant Cemetery.
