Shirley Ann Tindall, 87 of Gowen, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Campus, Greenville. Mrs. Tindall was born January 11, 1925 in Carson City, Michigan the daughter of Floyd and Rose (Jansen) Blanton. She retired from Grand Rapids Public Schools as a school bus driver for Lincoln School. Surviving are two sons, Randy (Lynn) Tindall of Holland, Rich (Barb) Tindall of Lowell; 4 grandchildren, Kurt (Jill) Tindall, Sarah (Jim) Rienks, Dana (Clint) Dickinson, Richie (Ashley) Tindall; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Howard (Violet) Blanton, Donald Blanton, Terry (Barb) Blanton; nieces and nephews; best friend, Oma Werner; and many other dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwin in 2010; son, David in 2009; brother, Douglas Blanton; sister, Orvina Slaughter. Services were held Monday, June 25 at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment East Nelson Cemetery. Chaplain Joan Cornelison officiating.
