Sherlock Holmes and The Last Great Gumshoe

Rogue River Community Theatre Company presents the comedy “Sherlock Holmes and The Last Great Gumshoe,” April 25 and 26, at 7:30 p.m., and April 27, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., at the Kent Theatre, 8 N Main St., in Cedar Springs.

You can purchase tickets at the door. Adults are $10, student $4, and seniors $8.

For all you Sherlock Holmes fans, come on out and see how your favorite detective solves a crime that has all of London in an uproar. Set in the 1920’s, it features great costumes, a fun set, and lots of laughs. At each performance, prizes will be given to the audience and members who can guess a clue given during the play. Fun for the whole family!

Light of Heaven’s Dove


Rogue River Community Theatre presented “The Light Of Heaven’s Dove,” a musical drama about the life of Christ, at the Kent Theatre in Cedar Springs last weekend.
It is a message play about Jesus the Christ, whose life and travels have touched all of humanity throughout history and will continue to do so in the times to come.
Jesus, of Nazareth, was played by John Hogan and Mary was played by Teresa Lautenbach. Patricia Rose, of Rockford wrote, staged, choreographed and directed the show.
Their next and last performance for this show will be Dec. 6, at 7:30pm at Basilica of St. Adalberts Cathedral, 701 4th St. NW, Grand Rapids.

“The Light of Heaven’s Dove” at the Kent

The Rogue River Community theatre presents The Light Of Heaven’s Dove, a drama about the life of Christ. Dress rehearsal show is Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. at Freshman Center Rockford. Showings at the Kent Theatre in Cedar Springs will be Nov 17, 18 at 8 p.m., and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. You can also see it on Dec 6 at St Adalbert’s Basilica in Grand Rapids Charity Christmas Show at 7:30 p.m.

Sunset Moon to play at the Kent Theatre


Rogue River Community Theatre will be presenting a spoof on the old time western movies called “Sunset Moon,” at the Kent Theatre in Cedar Springs, April 14, 15, and 16.

A young man heads into Dry Creek Wyoming in 1865 and is soon elected Sheriff, with a duty to clean up the town of a few rag tag villains, gunslingers, and dance hall girls. He meets and falls in love with Sunset Moon, and has to prove himself worthy of his position as Sheriff. There are bar room brawls, gunfights and more in this laugh-filled comedy, which boasts a cast of 47 local actors.

Performances are at 8 p.m. April 14,15, and 16, with a 2 p.m. performance added on April 16. It will also play at North Rockford Middle School on April 28 at 8 p.m.
