R.A.T. Troupe presents “Big Top Circus”

The Rockford Area Theater Troupe is bringing their latest play, “Big Top Circus,” to the Kent Theatre, in Cedar Springs on April 16 and 17.

Undeterred by an unexpected phone call informing him that all of his employees have been recently flattened and decapitated in a train derailment, the manager of a small-time circus resolves once again to hire and train a new crew in time for the next day’s extravaganza.

The question was never if he’d be able to fill all the roles before the performance; but rather, could he keep them all from dying off before half-time?

But as always…the show must go on!

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. on April 16 and 17 at the Kent Theatre, 8 N. Main St, Cedar Springs. Tickets are $12 for 13 years and up and $6 for 12 years and under. Pre-Sale at Perry’s Place, 90 North Main Cedar Springs. Audience limited to 50 people per showing.

“Saturday Morning Cartoons” at the Kent Theatre

The Rockford Area Theater Troupe pays tribute to childhood memories with their version of Saturday Morning Cartoons featuring the Super Friends and special guest appearances by the Mystery Teens, Thelma and Shaggly.

The story unfolds with Mr. Pen Quin and his villainous gang implementing an audacious plan to steal the valuable golden monkey. Or is that plan really just a ruse, so they can actually steal a legendary world class gem? And are they going to sell the ill-gained, luxurious loot, so Harley Quint can get the help her mother says she so urgently needs? Or will Mr. Pen Quin use it to gain control of the Hall of the League of Justice Headquarters and then the whole City of Metropolis?

Tune in at the Kent Theater on Friday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. for a fun-filled, family friendly episode of tantalizing trickery, devious double-crossing and fantastical fighting free-for-alls with Superbman, Wonderous Woman, Bat Guy, The Robins, Flashy, Mr. Pen Quin, Riddles, The Jokester, Cat Lady, Harley Quint, and Thelma and Shaggly…Zoiks!!!
