When school evening activities are canceled, this cancellation also includes all clubs, organizations and extra-curricular events held on campus and scheduled for that evening.

In the event of a 2-hour delay, students will be picked up by the bus approximately 2 hours later than their routine pick-up time. Morning Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) and morning preschool classes will be cancelled.

Campus Kids will be open on days that school is closed and / or delayed unless otherwise noted in school closing announcements.

Buses will not transport students to Kent Career and Technical Center for 1st session when a school delay or cancellation is issued. Students will be given a weather-related absence at KC/TC when we are officially not transporting them. Students who choose to drive personal vehicles to KC/TC on school delays or cancellations assume responsibility for their decision.

THINK, PLAY, QUESTION, AND GROW CT Preschoolers learning together!

If you have ever watched a young child’s eyes widen in amazement or witnessed that proud smile when they have accomplished a new task, then you understand the true reward of teaching children.  Cedar Trails Preschool Teachers have engaged their student in learning games and activities designed to build their curiosity and love for learning.  Music and Movement Activities provide opportunities to introduce new terms, directions, and understand places and roles.
Predictable pattern books like Brown Bear, Brown Bear help children learn repetitive patterns of language.
Dramatic Play supports new vocabulary and allows opportunities for children to engage in symbolic play.  Matching and Memory games provide fun interdependent ways for students to learn many math and reading concepts.  Children also learn physical gross motor concepts and skills like balance, spatial orientation, (position of body in space as well as relation to other people) and the coordination of major muscles.  Eyes wide lighting up with amazement and proud smiles will continue at Cedar Trails as students continue to think, play, question, and grow.
