Lady Red Hawk golfer gets hole in one

Red Hawk golfer Audrie Davis got her first ever hole in one at Egypt Valley.

The Cedar Springs girl’s golf team may have finished 7th in the OK White Jamboree with a 252 on Wednesday, September 12, but the last shot of the day proved to be the talk of the tournament. Audrie Davis scored her first hole in one on #6 at Egypt Valley. 

“It was awesome,” said Coach London. “I actually saw it go in.” Audrie thought it was pretty special too. “I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “It’s something I will never forget.”

Girl’s golf has good week


The Cedar Springs girl’s golf team had a good week finishing 6th @ the OK White Jamboree at Lowell. Michaela Tawney led the way with a 46, Audrie Davis 53, Courtney Pienta 54 and Jenna Powell a 56. “The squad has picked it up a little bit,” said Coach London. “We still have a lot of work to do on our short game though. Friday the girls competed in the Russ Johnson Tournament at Gracewil and shot a 420. Michaela Tawney was medalist with a 94, Jenna Powell a 101, Courtney Pienta and Skye Pate 113’s and Miranda Merlington a 123.

JV golf loses to Rockford, takes fourth at jamboree


The Cedar Springs JV golf team lost to Rockford 200-214 in a dual at Cedar Chase on Monday April 17. Austin Emmorey and Carson Svalin shot 51’s, Josh Allen 54, and Jacob Burgert 57.

The Red Hawks also competed in their first OK White Jamboree at Cedar Chase on Wednesday, April 19,and finished 4th with a score of 201.  Emmorey was medalist with a 45, Allen 51, Trey Lewis 52, and Svalin a 53. Dane Conley and Jared Hause both shot 61’s.

“The 201 was one of our best JV scores in a long time, and Austin’s 45 was a solid score,” said Coach London. “However, the 61’s got us 4th because we tied Lowell and their scores were better than Lowell’s 62.”

Red Hawk Girls golf 


The Girl’s Varsity Golf Team shot a 225 at Indian Trails and finished 6th in the OK white jamboree. Courtney Pienta was medalist with a 52, Michaela Tawney 54, Audrie Davis 58 and Mallory Shevock 61 (Carrigan Clark 71, MacKenzie Clark 73). “This was our best team score of the season,” said Coach London. “Our goal is to simply get better as October gets near.”
