Ms. Carrie Kirgis – 3rd Grade
CTA begins the year with new teachers in first and third grades. The first grade position became available when last year’s teacher, Ms. Bethany George, resigned because she is getting married and moving to the state of Washington. Third grade teacher, Mrs. Abby Terry, will be teaching second grade this year with Mrs. Carrie Paddock.
Ms. Carrie Kirgis will be teaching third grade at CTA this year. Ms. Kirgis is a Cum Laude graduate of Grand Valley State University where she was a member of the Dean’s List and the Frederick Meijer Honor’s College throughout her undergraduate years. Ms. Kirgis most recently worked for Spring Lake Public Schools.

Mrs. Jamie Presler – 1st Grade
Mrs. Jamie Presler is the new first grade teacher. Mrs. Presler comes to CTA with six years of teaching and assessment experience at Grant Public Schools where she served on curriculum and building improvement teams and had several staff leadership responsibilities. She received her B.A. from Grand Valley State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University.
“We are very pleased to have filled these positions with Ms. Kirgis and Mrs. Presler,” said School Leader, Dan George. “They have a lot to offer CTA and we welcome them to our school.”
