Residents can submit property photos for movie database

State’s film office maintains file for producers and scouts

Is your house or business perfect for the movies? Would you like Steven Spielberg to visit your cornfield? Here’s how you can maybe make it happen: Go to www.michiganfilmoffice.org, click on the Submit Location tab, and post up to 10 jpeg-format photos of your business or residence free of charge.

“Offering the use of your home, land or business as a location can be fun and profitable,” Michael Grabemeyer, Locations Manager of the Michigan Film Office, said. “We are growing an exciting new industry in Michigan and this is one way that an average citizen can get involved.”

The Film Office approves all submissions before posting them on the website, and reserves the right to withhold or correct any submissions. There is no guarantee that a submission will be used. If you have any questions, please call (800) 477-3456, fax (517) 241-0867 or email info@michigan.org.
