Mrs. Ruth Lehmoine-Hiler, age 79, of Cedar Springs, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Ruth married Jack Lehmoine, and they were blessed with five children. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother who lovingly cared for her children and served other family members, her church and community. They were longtime members of Rockford Baptist Church. She later was a member of the Prime Timers at Algoma Baptist Church. Ruth was very proud that many of her grandchildren attended Lincoln Lake Baptist Youth Camp. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jack Lehmoine, and her second husband, Ken Hiler, sister, Mary June Baird, brother, Art Houck, and son-in-law, Gary Stevens. Ruth is survived by her children, Jackie and Don Smith, Connie and Terry Betz, Gerry and Bob Buckowing, John and Chris Lehmoine, Dan and Karla Lehmoine; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck (Barb) Houck; nieces and nephews; and special cousin (sister) Sonia Widmayer. A service for Ruth of Praise and Thanksgiving for the gift of everlasting life through Jesus Christ will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Algoma Baptist Church with Pastor David Fernlund officiating. Interment in Pierson Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Building Fund at Algoma Baptist Church or the Lincoln Lake Baptist Youth Camp. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Pederson Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
