CLARENCE L. MILLER


Clarence L. “Moose” Miller age 80 of Sand Lake, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at his home. Mr. Miller was born January 26, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Roy and Catherine (Newville) Miller. He graduated from Montrose High School and was a member of their Football Hall of Fame. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 58 and retired from AC Delco in Flint after 32 years of service. Moose enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, camping and cooking. Surviving are his wife, Maxine (Frey); children, Ron (Julie) Miller, Lyle (Brian) Miller; stepchildren, Colette Bergman, Dolores (John) Nagelhout, Kevin (Joann) Parker; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs where the service will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Darryl Miller officiating. Private family interment Crandall Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.

RENAE LYNN HEISS


Renae Lynn Heiss, 31 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017. Renae was born August 30, 1986 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Roy Heiss and Loraine Cope. She enjoyed reading, writing, flowers and living on the farm. She was a very happy, social and caring person and loved being a mother. Surviving are her husband, Juan Perez Jr; children, Alanah Ann Alvarez, Juan Perez Jr, Elias Ezayelle Perez; father, Roy (Alesia) Heiss; mother, Loraine Heiss; brothers, Joshua Heiss, Tyrell (Stephanie) Heiss, twin, Ryan (Miriam) Heiss; nieces and nephews. Visitation and services were held Tuesday, Sept. 5th at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. Interment Crandall Cemetery, Ensley Township. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for her children at Choice One Bank.

ELLA MAE KNOCH


 

C-obit-knochElla Mae (Mosher) Knoch, 89, of Cedar Springs, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Vista Springs. Ella Mae was born October 29, 1926 in Cadillac, Michigan the daughter of Clifford and Lavona (Stark) Joslin. She was a longtime member of Pilgrim Bible Church and had served as secretary and treasurer. She enjoyed sewing and taught a sewing class at Pilgrim Bible Academy. She had been active working the voting booths for Ensley Township. She loved the Lord, her church and her family. Surviving are her husband, Walter Knoch Sr. whom she married on December 12, 2010; son, Rodney (Sue) Mosher; seven stepchildren; grandsons, Kenneth (Stephanie) Mosher, Peter (Grace) Mosher; great grandchildren, Greyson, Hazelle, Kiptyn, Hunter, Bosten and a granddaughter on the way; many step grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Sarah) Joslin, Elwyn (Goldie) Joslin; sister, Orpha Nicholson; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a husband, Maynard Mosher; daughter and son-in-law, Connie (Richard) Tiede; great-granddaughter, Emery Mosher; brother, Leon Joslin; sister, Olive Hurst. The family will greet friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs. The service will be held Monday 11:00 am at Pilgrim Bible Church, Cedar Springs. Pastor Michael Shiery officiating. Interment Crandall Cemetery, Ensley Township. Memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimers Association or Pilgrim Bible Church.

WILLIAM L. SEVEY

William L. Sevey 86 of Cedar Springs, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his home. Bill was born July 24, 1929 in Cedar Springs, Michigan, the son of Clinton and Gladys (Fisk) Sevey. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and had been Solon Township Supervisor. Years ago he had a milk route and drove school bus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying and riding his four wheeler. He loved his grandkids. Surviving are his children, LouAnn (Brian) Wheat, Deborah Sevey, William “Rick” (Tanya) Sevey; grandchildren, Stacy and Kyle; great grandchildren, Logan, Hannah, and Avalyn; brother-in-law, Jack Bowers. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Annabelle in 2011; sister, Ardith Bowers. A private family service will be held in the spring at Crandall Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 129 Jefferson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
