The JV Red Hawks wrestling team took to the mats during the Christmas break when they traveled to Grand Rapids Christian on December 28, where 12 teams competed. There were seven weight classes, and out of the seven, five Red Hawk wrestlers brought home medals.
Brett Bouwens, wrestling at 112 pounds, brought home first place, and Aaron Brook at 119 pounds took third place. Three wrestlers also took second places: Danny Wier at 125 pounds; Josh Champion at 152 pounds; and Michael Armock at 171 pounds.
The Varsity and JV teams take to the mats later this week at Comstock Park.
