Thanks to all the wonderful people

Thanks to all the wonderful people who came out on a blustery February night last Friday to show their support at the first fund-raising event for Velzy Park. It was an awesome success, raising over $1,000 for park construction. Also a big thank-you to the volunteers, the local residents who donated the delicious desserts, B93’s Reese Rickards for wonderful emcee and auction work, Kevin from Kelly’s Restaurant for a fantastic dinner, and park committee chairperson Shelly Aardema for all her work behind the scenes. We are excited to begin construction of the walking paths this Spring and hope you’ll join us at our next event. Keep watch for information on our website and facebook page on upcoming plans – www.solontwp.org.

Thank You

The family of Donald White would like to say “Thank You” to our family, friends, and neighbors for your prayers, support, cards and other acts of sympathy. How wonderful you are. Thank you to our church family at The Springs Free Methodist Church. Your prayers, love and support have helped to ease our loss. Thank you for the nice funeral luncheon as well as all the delicious meals. We especially want to say “Thank You” to all of the staff at Metron of Cedar Springs. Your loving care of our father and grandfather the last four years of his life was wonderful. There are just not enough words to adequately express our appreciation for how you have also taken care of our family, especially the last few days of Dad’s (Grandpa’s) life.

May God bless each of you,

Thank You

We extend our deepest appreciation to those of you who knew Russ Durst and shared in our sorrow after his recent passing. It became obvious to us that he was a well known and well liked man about Cedar Springs. We enjoyed hearing your many stories and fond memories. We appreciate each of you and the impact you had on his life. Thank you.

Sincerely,

The Russell Durst Family

Thank You

Dear Mayor Hall, Mayor Pro Tem Conley and the Cedar Springs City Council:

On behalf of the entire, all volunteer Red Flannel Board of Directors, please accept our warmest and sincerest “THANK YOU” for a job well done this past weekend as we put our community’s best foot forward to welcome our guests to Red Flannel Town!

We appreciated Mayor Pro Tem Pamela Conley’s speech at the Sponsor breakfast; and Mayor Hall, City Manager Taylor and Sgt. Kelley’s attendance to thank our VIP’s and Sponsors.

While we can never control the weather, there are things we can control; teamwork!

The outstanding teamwork displayed by Tom Stressman’s DPW crew (especially Al and Joanne who worked on Red Flannel Day); the great leadership of Sgt. Jason Kelley and the Kent County Sheriff Department officers who were amazing to work with; and the helpfulness of Fire Chief Marty Fraser and his department all had a significantly positive contribution to the success of the 76th Red Flannel Festival.

As Mayor Hall said, “There is no “I” in team”, and we all proved that this past weekend. Our sincerest thanks!

Warmest Red Flannel Regards,

Michele Tracy, President

On Behalf of Red Flannel Festival Board of Directors
