Edward and Glenna (Towns) Brown observed a golden wedding anniversary on May 6th. A tour of Europe and a family dinner highlighted the occasion. The couple has two daughters, Sherry and David Brown and Billie and Kirk Freeland. They have four grandchildren, Bethany and Justin Brown, and Lauren and Sylvia Freeland.

Sixty-five years of wedded life were observed April 6 by Royal “Pete” and Ruth (Joslin) Cooper. A family celebration will be held at a later date. Children of the Rockford couple are Kenneth and Debbie Cooper, Steve and Helen Smith, Donald Cooper, David and Joann Fowler, Nancy Sampsel and Dale Cooper. They have 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Children of the couple are Kim & Kris Randall, Cory & Ann Afton, John Afton & Connie, Linda & George Mollien. They have 9 grandchildren.

Tom and Judy Rowland of Sand Lake celebrated their 50th Anniversary on September 2, 2010. An open house will be held in their honor on Sunday, October 17th at the Eagles Club in Sand Lake from 2-6pm. Their children are Gord & Lauri Waller and Scott & Penny Rowland. They have 6 grandchildren.

Long time Cedar Springs residents, Harvey and Jo Ann Scott will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on October 10, 2010. The couple were blessed with 4 daughters; Amy (Scott) Bromm, Darlene Scott, Jody Scott and Sabrina Scott. They have also been blessed with 6 grandchildren, Katlyn, Nicholas, Jacob, Brittany, Kaleb and Olivia. The family will be celebrating this happy occasion with a private celebration.

Fifty years of matrimony were observed June 11, by Gary and Sandy Brooks of Cedar Springs. This golden anniversary will be honored by their proud children and family on August 7 with an open house for friends, family and neighbors. The open house will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cedar Field Community Building, 3592 17 Mile Road in Cedar Springs.
