The Boys Cross Country team traveled to Riverside Park this past week to compete in the Ottawa Hills Invitational. The team faced temperatures in the mid 80’s, along with 18 other schools in the early afternoon session. The Red Hawks found their stride once again and raced to a 5th place finish in the team standings.
Cedar Springs was led by returning All-Conference runner, Senior Espen Wood. Espen covered the 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) course in a new personal record (PR) time of 16:32, earning runner up honors in the field of 152 entrants.
“I was proud of the effort and grit that the team displayed on Friday,” commented Wood.
