West Michigan Pursuit travelled to the Kalamazoo Wings Center for the 2022 State Finals. There were over 3500 kids registered to compete.  WMP entered 10 grapplers and seven finished with All State recognition.

Jaesek Homrich, 90 lb, 2011 age group and 2nd year wrestler finished 8th. Jaxson Babcock, 69 lb, 2012 age group, and Heavy Weight Mason Carringer (also a 2nd year wrestler) finished 7th. Jackson Farrell, 78 lb, 2011 age group finished 6th. Peyton Farrell, 80 lb, 2008 age group finished 4th. Blake Peasley, 143 lb, HS age group finished 3rd. Luke Egan, 100 lb, 2007 age group finished 2nd.

It was a long weekend of wrestling. To the kiddos who placed, congratulations! Your hard work is paying off. For the few who fell short of the placement rounds, we will be back at it with the goal of getting you on that podium next season!  Everyone who entered won a match.  We are the Pursuit of Champions!

Special thanks to our coaches Dom and Tyler. We could not have done it without you this weekend! “Overall, I am extremely happy with how these kids finished. They work hard each week and their determination shows on the mat. I am proud of how my kids conduct themselves on and off the mat,” said Head Coach Dave Andrus.
