Out of 29 matches, WMP claimed 18 victories. 122 lb Caleb Austin, 13/15 age group and 69 lb Jaxson Babcock, 9/10 age group both finished 4th. Heavy Weight, Mason Carringer, 9/10 age group finished 3rd. 37 lb Camdon Farrell, 5/6 age group; 78 lb Jackson Farrell, 9/10 age group and 90 lb Jaesek Homrich, 9/10 age group all finished as Runner Up. Champions of the day are 78 lb JJ Carringer, 9/10 Novice age group and 80 lb Peyton Farrell, 13/15 age group. This is JJ’s first year wrestling and his very first championship.

We also had four grapplers compete on the K-8th grade team for Cedar Springs. 54 lb Jonah Slager claimed three victories for the day, he earned 11 points for the team. 102 lb Luke Egan claimed 5 victories for the day, he earned 25 points for the team. 110 lb Ayden McClurken claimed 5 victories for the day, he earned 27 points for the team. 129 lb Tyler Parmeter went undefeated, going 6-0 for the day, he earned 31 points for the team. Cedar Springs finished 2nd in their Pool and 12th out of 31 teams.

“We have a lot of inexperienced wrestlers but it has been exciting to see the improvement shown in a small amount of time,” said Head Coach Dave Andrus.
