This past weekend, West Michigan Pursuit travelled to Belding for the West Region tournament. WMP entered eight grapplers to compete and all eight finished in the placement rounds. Out of 20 matches, WMP claimed 15 victories! 66 lb Deacon Reynolds, 9/10 age group finished 4th. 69/72 lb Jaxson Babcock, 9/10 age group; 75 lb JJ Carringer, 9/10 novice age group; Heavy Weight Mason Carringer, 11/12 age group and 78 lb Jackson Farrell, 9/10 age group all finished as runner up. 

Belding Champions are 37 lb Camdon Farell, 5/6 age group; 80/90 lb Peyton Farrell, 13/15 age group and 90 lb Jaesek Homrich, 9/10 novice age group. 

“I have several new faces this year along with some of my veterans who have been with me since kindergarten,” said head coach Dave Andrus. “It’s a great feeling to see some of the current high school freshman, who have come thru my program, dominate at the high school level. I am very happy with the progression of my kids.”
