NORMA MARGIE LARSEN

Norma Margie (Hansen) Larsen, formerly of Coral, MI passed away peacefully at her and her son, Karl’s, residence in Rose City, MI on Thursday September 30, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born to Herbert & Alva (Hinkley) Hansen on November 8, 1918 in Langston, MI. Norma was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, reading, and growing African Violets and Christmas Cacti. While growing up, her grandchildren enjoyed their lunches with Grandma & Grandpa, especially watching her make aebleskivers, a Danish pancake. She was a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church. Over the years she helped with many church dinners. As she grew older and was unable to attend, she would still contribute by preparing a dish for someone to pick-up. Norma is survived by her two sons; Dale (Brenda) Larsen of Coral and Karl (Patricia) Larsen of Rose City; two grandchildren, Christine (Ronald) Behrenwald and Brice Larsen; five great-grandchildren, Anna and Lauren Behrenwald, Rebecca, Daniel, and Andrew Larsen; four step grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Alvin; sister, Elizabeth “Betty” (Jim) Lewis and brothers Marvin (Leona), Elman (Elsie), and Russell (Louise) Hansen. There will be a public visitation at the Heritage United Methodist Church, 19931 Kendaville Rd, Pierson, MI 49339, on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastors Mark Mitchell and Terri Cummins officiating. Interment will follow at the Coral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to Heritage United Methodist Church, 19931 Kendaville Rd, Pierson, MI 49339.
