Courtland Township receives award

Courtland Township has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the State Tax Commission (STC) for receiving a perfect score on the 2021 Audit of Minimum Assessing Requirements (AMAR) Review.  Currently, the AMAR takes place every five years and reviews all units in the State of Michigan on a rotating basis.  Some areas reviewed for compliance in this cycle of the AMAR included exemption guidelines and procedures, properly calculated and appropriately documented Economic Condition Factors (ECFs) as well as land value deteriminations, record cards with less than 1 percent overrides, land value maps, and Board of Review requirements.

The Courtland Township Board of Directors takes this opportunity to express and thank Jane Kolbe, Township Assessor, for a wonderful job done.
