Cedar Springs Red Hawk Volleyball commenced the season with all levels traveling for competition in three separate tournaments.

The freshmen team traveled to the Sparta Invite on Saturday, August 21, to capture the top accolade, earning the title of Tournament Champions, with a win over host Sparta.

JV played in the Coopersville Invite also on Saturday.

The Varsity team competed at the West Michigan Volleyball Officials Association Scholarship tournament on Friday, August 20, finishing pool play as the top seed in the Silver bracket. The Varsity Red Hawks lost to a tough Western Michigan Christian in a tight 19-25 and 23-25 opening match, followed by wins over Haslett (25-20;25-23) and Holland (25-16;25-22) before falling in a close bracket play match to Holland (24-26; 23-25).

Varsity volleyball was back in action on Tuesday when they traveled to Muskegon Reeths-Puffer for a non-conference quad. More on that next week.
