Terry Fales, age 63 of Cedar Springs, went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, July 12, 2020. He is singing his heart out in praise of his Savior Jesus Christ. We as a family are thankful for the time we had with Terry. He was born on April 28, 1957 to Marion and Bessie (Wiersma) Fales in Grand Rapids, MI. Terry worked as a tradesman in commercial construction for several years. He was a builder and would often help others build. He was a member of Algoma Baptist Church where he was a member of the church choir and also served as a youth group worker. Terry was a lover of music and he sang in the church choir and the Chorus of the Grand Rapids Opera. He spent time learning to play the bass guitar, writing poetry, fishing, and experimenting in cooking. Terry also enjoyed the Grand Rapids Art Festival and photography. Terry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Becky (Sensenbaugh) Fales; his children, Benn (Kristen) Fales, Jamie (Andrew) Holwerda, and Jeffrey Fales; his siblings, Linda Fales, Michael (Donna) Fales, Sue (Mark) Clark, and Mary (Steven) Bronkema; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Bessie Fales; and his brother, Randy Fales. Terry’s Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be at Algoma Baptist Church at 10 a.m. on July 31st, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. will be a time of fellowship and visiting with Terry’s family and friends. The service will be at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow. Wearing a Hawaiian shirt to the service would be a wonderful way of honoring Terry’s memory, but is certainly not required. Donation in lieu of flowers can be made to Scott and Sara’s adoption fund www.paypal.com/paypalme/scottsaraadoptionfun.
