The Cedar Springs Boys Varsity Tennis team got off to a great start in their opening week of competition. The team took second place Sat a tournament hosted by Sparta High School. Two days later, the team took first place at a tournament hosted by Fruitport High School, where they swept Fruitport 8-0. The Red Hawks hosted their first home match, last Wednesday, August 26, where they swept Greenville High School 8-0. 

The team headed to Forest Hills Eastern on August 31, and will host a tournament at home on 9/3. See those results in next week’s paper.
