2nd Chance Acoustic Jam

Jan. 3: 2nd Chance will be having an Acoustic Jam fundraiser hosted by the Gitchel’s on Friday, January 3rd  from 6 to 9 pm. NOTE the change of day. We will be having a Potluck (meat and tableware will be provided, bring a dish to pass). It will be at 2nd Chance School at 810 – 17 Mile Rd., Cedar Springs (corner of 17 Mile and Olin Lakes Road). 2nd Chance would love to have you join us for an evening of playing with or listening to awesome musicians and support 2nd Chance School at this fundraiser. Jam sessions will be held weekly, on Fridays. $4 donation at the door – 15 and under are free. 3 jam rooms available and the stage. Proceeds go to 2nd Chance School. BUNCO at Rockford Masonic Lodge

Jan.3: BUNCO on the first Friday of each month (Jan. 3, Feb. 7, Mar. 6 etc.), 6 pm at the Rockford Masonic Lodge, 1430 Northland Drive NE (across from Bell Furniture). $5.00 donation requested to play – bring a friend the first time free! Biggest Loser Weight Loss Competition at Cedar Springs Library

Jan. 6: Join us for a friendly weight loss competition at the library and shed those unwanted pounds. This weight loss challenge will be going on for 10 weeks (Jan. 6th – March 16th). One lucky person will be considered our BIGGEST LOSER and win a grand prize of $100. Other prizes will also be available. Weigh-ins will be held anytime during regular library hours on Monday and Tuesday. This is an adult only program and it costs $10 to join. The initial weigh-in and kickoff meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 6th from 6-7pm. #1

God’s Kitchen in Cedar Springs

Jan. 7,14,21,28: Join us for dinner every Tuesday. God’s Kitchen – Cedar Springs welcomes families from Northern Kent County and the surrounding area to a Tuesday Evening Meal. Celebrate Recovery

Main St. will be holding meetings every Thursday to Celebrate Recovery, a Christ centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, habits or hangups of any kind. 6-6:30 pm – Meet & Greet, 6:30-8 pm Celebrate Recovery. Owl Prowl at HCNC

Jan. 10: Naturalist Greg Swanson is back to introduce you to owl biology on Friday, January 10th at 6 pm. He will start with an indoor presentation then we’ll head outdoors to see if he can call one in to say hello. Members: $3 per person – $10 per family of 4+. Yule Ball at Cedar Springs Library

Jan. 10: Friday, January 10th 6-8pm. Get ready to dress up in your fancy clothes and wear your dancing shoes for our very first Winter Wonderland Ball. We will be dancing the night away with all of our friends. There will also be some snacks and a few games to enjoy! Parents are encouraged to come and participate. This is a family program and is open to all ages. We do however need you to sign up your child if you are interested due to the limited space. Sign up is required for kids only!

Snowflake Studio at KDL

Jan. 11: Explore winter with your creative side! Drop-in for snowflake-themed arts and crafts for the whole family. Saturday, January 11th from 11 am to 12 pm at the Spencer Township KDL Branch, 14960 Meddler Ave., Gowen. #1
