June 12, 1956 – December 5, 2019

Bryan Newland, age 63, a resident of Banks, Alabama, died Thursday December 5, 2019 at his residence. A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, AL. He is survived by his wife Susan Ross Newland of Banks; children, Timothy (Nick) Brady of Banks and Sara Ashley Browning (Kyle Prince) of Dothan; grandchildren, Gage Brady, Taylor Brady, and Zach Brady of Troy, Duce Day of Montgomery and Fisher Browning of Dothan; siblings, Shirley Kruis of Cedar Springs, MI/Apache Junction, AZ, Marlan Newland (Bonnie) of Lake Placid, FL, Paula Brink (Tom) of Stanwood, MI, Randy Newland (Cheryl) of Copemish, MI/Lake Placid, FL, Karla Roebuck (Bob) of Rodney, MI; brother-in-law, Larry Ross of Brundidge, AL; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends; and his beloved dogs, Lucy and Jay. Bryan loved life and enjoyed the outdoors. During his time in the military he served as a Huey pilot, a Huey Helicopter Flight Instructor and a Blackhawk pilot. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Turkeys from Heaven, 3311 Hwy 29 S, Troy, AL 36081 or Wounded Warrior Project, Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.

There is a memorial service planned in June, 2020 in Cedar Springs, MI.
