What is the top Christmas candy in Michigan?

Every year, the CandyStore.com  does a survey to find out which Christmas candy customers like the most, and then divides the answers up by state to find out what the top candies are in each state.

This year, CandyStore.com received 32,000 responses. They also checked with their friendly major candy manufacturers and distributors to be sure our survey corresponded with their seasonal observations.

And the top three Christmas candies in Michigan for 2019 are 1. Reindeer corn; 2. Reese’s cup minis; and 3. Peppermint bark.

Reindeer corn had another banner year in 2019, finishing in the top 3 in 19 different states–six more than last year. It had eight first place finishes this year, compared to fivelast year. States like Michigan and Alabama have been on the reindeer corn train for several years now, but others seem to be catching on.

What about the worst Christmas candy?

While surveying for their favorite Christmas candy, CandyStore.com also asked people what Christmas candy they felt was the worst. The funny thing is, two out of the top 10 worst candies mentioned were also two of Michigan’s top favorites. So here they are:

10. Ribbon candy; 9. Non-peppermint candy canes; 8. Old-fashioned hard candy mix; 7. Peppermint bark; 6. White peppermint M&Ms; 5. Lifesaver storybooks; 4. Peeps; 3. Reindeer corn; 2. Cherry cordials; and 1. Christmas nougat candy.
