Red Hawk JV baseball goes 5-0 for the week

The JV Baseball team started last week with a home double header against the Packers from Fremont.  Dylan Knauf took to the hill for the Red Hawks and pitched a complete 5-inning game allowing 2 hits, 1 run and striking out 5 for a 4-1 victory.  Leading the team with a hit each was Willy Zain, Jeremy Campione, Trenton Snoeyink and Aiden Brunin.  In the second game of the double header, Logan Petty also pitched a complete 5-inning game allowing 5 hits, 2 runs and striking out 3 for a 8-2 Red Hawk win.  The Red Hawks totaled 5 hits in the contest led by Brunin with 2 hits and with a hit each Brennen Porter, Anthony Lizardo and Alec McDonald.

The team would then host a single game at home against Saugatuck on Wednesday May 8th.  Willy Zain would get the start for the Redhawks pitching 3 innings of no hit ball and striking out 4.  Alec McDonald and Caleb Menefee pitched well in relief helping the Red Hawks earn a 14-2 victory.  The Red Hawks totaled 7 hits in the win with Aiden Brunin having 3 hits and Jeremy Campione and Zain having 2 hits each.

The team then traveled on Saturday, May 11, to Newaygo for a double header.  The Red Hawks relied on pitching by committee for game 1 of the double header.  Trenton Snoeyink, Willy Zain, Anthony Lizardo and Dylan Knauf all pitched with Dylan Knauf picking up the win for a 10-6 Red Hawk victory.  The Red Hawk offense totaled 11 hits in the contest with Willy Zain leading the team with 3 hits; getting 2 hits a piece was Brennen Porter, Logan Petty  and Caleb Menefee; and with a hit each was Trenton Snoeyink and Dylan Knauf.  In the second game of the double header the Red Hawk offense would stay hot totaling 8 more hits for a 20-3 Red Hawk victory.  Gage Haywood picked up the win on the mound.  Caleb Menefee and Logan Petty also pitched well for the Red Hawks.
