Celebrate Recovery

May 9,16,23,21: City Impact, 288 N. Main St. will be holding meetings every Thursday to Celebrate Recovery, a Christ centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, habbits or hangups of any kind. 6-6:30 pm – Meet & Greet, 6:30-8pm Celebrate Recovery. Friends and Family Night

May 9: Please join our new Cedar Springs church for Food – Community – Fun Friends and Family Night. Thursday, May 9th at 6 pm at the Cedar Springs Historical Museum, 60 Cedar St. (Morley Park). All are welcome to come learn about our town as we compete in a photo scavenger hunt through downtown Cedar Springs. Dinner will be provided and prizes awarded. Bring a can of soup to benefit Hand2Hand and you’ll be entered to win an additional prize! #18,19p

Rummage Sale at Sand Lake UMC

May 9-11: A rummage sale will be held on  May 9th and 10th from 9 am to 5 pm and on May 11th from 9 am to 2 pm at the Sand Lake United Methodist Church, 65 W. Maple St. #18,19b

Velzy Park Pancake Breakfast

May 11: Join us for our 2nd annual Velzy Park Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 11th from 9 am until 11 am, at the Solon Township Hall (15185 Algoma Ave.). Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage and eggs, juice and coffee. $6 per person, children 3 and under at free. #18,19b

Cornhole Tournament for 2nd Chance

May 11: 2nd Chance will be having a Cornhole Tournament Saturday, May 11th at the Cedar Rock Sports Plex on Northland Drive. Bags will fly at 4:00 pm. There will be games and many bags being tossed. There is a $40.00 team registration to participate as a team. Spectators welcome. The entry form and information is posted on Facebook, Cornhole America. You won’t want to miss this event and we would invite you to join us to have fun while supporting 2nd Chance and enhancing their success for the future. Missions 101 at Hillcrest

May 14: MISSIONS 101 – a “how to” on local and foreign missions taught by missionary Michelle Freeland. May 15: East Nelson Church, 9024 – 18 Mile, Cedar Springs, is having a Swiss Steak dinner on Wednesday, May 15th from 5-7 pm. Please come and enjoy good food and fellowship. Open to all! #19

Community Garage Sale

May 16,17: City Impact Community Center will be hosting a community garage sale on Thrusday May 16th and Feiday May 17th from 8:30 am to 5 pm. Drop off donations to sell at City Impact Community Center on May 9, 10, 13 & 14 from 9 am to 5 pm. All proceeds go to City Impact programs. #19,20p

Historical comedy debuts on Kent stage

May 17-19,24,25: The Cedar Springs Community Players is pleased to present “Burr: The One Who Won,” written by Scott Phillips with music by Jill Phillips at the Kent Theatre on May 17, 18, 19; and May 24, 25. Performances start at 7:30, with the exception a Sunday matinee on May 19, which has a 3 p.m. start time. You may purchase tickets at the Cedar Springs Public Library in advance for $12 for adults and $6 for children under 18. The box office is open 30 minutes before each performance and tickets may be purchased at that time for $15 for adults and $6 for children under 18. #19-21b

Cub Scouts Golf Outing

May 18: The Cedar Springs Cub Scouts is hosting their 2nd annual Golf Outing at Cedar Chase, 7551 – 17 Mile Rd., Cedar Springs, on Saturday, May 18th. Four man scramble: $50 per person. Enjoy 18 holes with cart, 1 food pass, 2 drink passes and games.  Sign in at 2 pm and Tee off at 3 pm. Community Dinner and Feeding America Truck

May 20: City Impact will be hosting a community dinner and Feeding America Truck on Monday, May 20th. The Feeding America Truck will be at 4:30 pm by the bus garage (behind Cedar Springs Red Hawk Elementary) and dinner will be at 5:30 pm at the Red Hawk Elementary Cafeteria. There will be haircuts, crafts, prizes and more!. #19,20

Sand Lake High School Alumni Banquet

June 8: The 127th Annual (1892-2019) Sand Lake High School Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, June 8th at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Sand Lake. Open to anyone who attended Sand Lake Schools.
