Lady Red Hawks win over Ottawa Hills

The Cedar Springs girls basketball team started 2019 with a win in their first conference game of the season this past Friday.  The Red Hawks defeated Ottawa Hills 54-46 at home to improve their record to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the OK White.

Seven points from sophomore Kaelyn Colclasure and 5 points from senior Courtney Pienta in the third quarter helped the Lady Red Hawks outscore Ottawa Hills 19-9 and build a 12-point lead heading into the final quarter.  

Senior Brighton Miller led the Red Hawk scoring attack with 17 points and 4 assists. Colclasure totaled 12 points and 9 rebounds on the evening followed by fellow sophomore Maggie Prins with 8 points and 11 rebounds.

The team continues conference action this week with away games at Forest Hills Northern on Tuesday and Forest Hills Central on Friday.
