Senior Center Starting in Sand Lake

Mar. 23,30: On Friday afternoons from 1 to 3 pm, we are starting a Senior Center. It is held at the Nelson Township Library in Sand Lake. Every Senior is welcome. We have available games, trivia, puzzles and other activities for Seniors. We have the coffee on and plenty of conversation. Come and join us ! #12

Praise the Lord at Cowboy Church

Mar. 25: 2nd Chance will be having Cowboy Church on Sunday, March 25th at 6 pm. It will be at 2nd Chance School at 810 – 17 Mile Rd. Cedar Springs (corner of 17 Mile and Olin Lakes Rd). Music and ministry will be shared by Michelle Emmory and Katie Schmidt with a special message from Joan Gitchel. Invite your family and friends. Cowboy Church will be every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Each service will have different people sharing God’s word and music. Cowboy Church will introduce you to 2nd Chance and its vision. The school is in the building stage, which when completed, will teach troubled teens through God and the horse. If you have questions, call 616-293-2150. See you there! #12b

TOPS weight loss support group

Mar. 27: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are cancelled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Martha at 696-1039 for more information. #12

Sand Lake Village Churches

Mar. 30: Good Friday “Walk to Remember” noon – 1:30 pm. Walk begins at Resurrection Lutheran with stops at the Church of the Full Gospel and Mary Queen of Apostles and ends at Sand Lake United Methodist Church. Refreshment after the walk. Transportation provided for those not able to walk. #12,13b

Easter Egg-Stravaganza @ Solon Center Wesleyan

Mar. 31: An Easter Egg-Stravaganza, a celebration for children will be held on Saturday, March 31st at the Solon Center Wesleyan Church featuring a Special Needs Egg Hunt. There’ll be hot dogs, candy, face painting & 4,000 Easter eggs for egg hunts for all children up to 10 years. On display will be Solon Township fire and rescue trucks, a Michigan State Police cruiser & Kent County Sheriff’s K-9 unit, and an authentic race car with driver Austin Hull. Registration begins at 11 am, and egg hunts begin at Noon. There will also be drawings and prizes, such as Easter baskets, a trip to Altitude Trampoline Park, and bicycles donated by Meijer will be given as grand prizes!
