Fundraiser in honor of local veteran

ent-lewis-fundraiser

A Luncheon this Sunday, December 4 at Church of God Ministry in White Cloud at 2pm will help support Richard Lee Lewis, a Rockford veteran who is in need of help from the community ASAP to fight multiple sclerosis.

Richard grew up in Newaygo County and went to White Cloud High School. He has been fighting MS for almost 20 years, and he now faces mobility issues and discomfort that will continue to decline without treatment. He may face paralysis and vision loss. He needs to raise enough money out-of-pocket to cover the expenses associated with a stem cell transplant that could help him to fight MS and reclaim an independent life.

All proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit HelpHOPELive in Richard’s honor. All funds raised will be managed by the nonprofit to be used for medical and related expenses only. Anyone who cannot attend can still make a tax-deductible donation at: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/12053
