Road construction on Main Street

If you’ve been in downtown Cedar Springs this week, you will have noticed roadwork being done on North Main Street.

According to Cedar Springs City Manager Mike Womack, the roadwork is a collaboration between the City and Kent County to mill and fill North Main Street between 18 Mile and Oak Street.  “North Main Street was in pretty bad shape and this work should make it nice and smooth for a number of years,” he explained. He added that the cost to the City is approximately $30,000 and is being paid for out of the Major Street Fund.
