Totally 80’s, Totally Murder

Nov. 20: Get ready for a Rockin’ Radical Night of Mystery! Resurrection Lutheran Church/Preschool and The Murder Mystery Company presents: “Totally 80’s! Totally Murder! 180 S. 15th Annual Holiday Bazaar

Nov. 21: Courtland Oakfield United Methodist Church, 10295 Myers Lake Ave., Rockford (between 12 and 13 Mile), is hosting their 15th Annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 21st from 9 am to 3 pm. Tri County Country 4H Club Pie Sale

Nov. 21: On Saturday, November 21st from 9 am to 2 pm at Tractor Supply Co., corner of White Creek and 17 Mile, the Tri County Country 4H Club will have a Holiday Pie Sale. $10 for pecan, $8 for apple, pumpkin and more. #46

Mock Hunger Games

Nov. 21: The Cedar Springs 1st Annual Mock Hunger Games will be held at the United Methodist Church, 140 S. Main St. Cedar Springs, on Saturday, November 21st from 3 to 4 pm. Volunteer as a tribute to our modified dodge ball event for a chance to win a $10 gift card to NorthStar Cinema. Sign up for the reaping, train for the games, woo the sponsors, and enter the arena. Last teen standing wins! Will you volunteer as tribute? May the odds be ever in your favor. #46

Community Thanksgiving Service

Nov. 22: Join us for this service of Song and Testimonies. The Community Thanksgiving Service will be held Sunday, November 22 at 6 pm at the Cedarfield Community Center located next to Meijer, 3592 – 17 Mile Rd. NE, Cedar Springs. Brought to you by the Cedar Springs Ministerial Association. #46

Praise the Lord at Cowboy Church

Nov. 22: 2nd Chance will be having Cowboy Church starting Sunday, November 22nd at 6 pm. It will be at 2nd Chance School at 810 – 17 Mile Rd. Cedar Springs (corner of 17 Mile and Olin Lakes Rd. The message will be shared by Gordy Wadds from Ovid, Michigan, nationally recognized quarter horse trainer, who has an amazing testimony to share. The music provided by the group, Two Outlaws and a Good Guy, from Midland Michigan, who will also share the words of Jesus Christ. Invite your family and friends. Cowboy Church will be every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Each service will have different people sharing God’s work and music. If you have questions, call 616-293-2150. #46

TOPS weight loss support group

Nov. 24: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are cancelled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Barb at 696-8049 for more information. #46

Intro to Soap-Making

Dec. 3: Learn the centuries-old method of making traditional soap (a.k.a. cold process) from an experienced soaper. Class time runs 1.5 hours and you will leave with a soap bar that you mixed, colored and scented. Gloves, apron and goggles will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes, an old long-sleeved shirt and pants (or a log skirt) to protect your skin. Pre-registration is required and participant spots are limited. For adults. Wish Tree at Metron

Dec. 18: Metron of Cedar Springs, located at 400 Jeffery, would like to announce that our facility will be displaying a Wish Tree from now until Christmas. Family and community members are welcome to choose an ornament from the tree which will outline specific Christmas gift items for our residents.
