The Creative Technologies Academy Cross Country teams have beenĀ pushing all season long to meet their individual and team goals, and many of them did just that at Riverside Park this past Wednesday. It was the second conference meet of the year for the Chargers, and they did not disappoint.
The boys cross country was led once again by sophomore Les Miner with a time of 17:17. Junior captain, Ethan Lehman had a nice run as well with a time of 18:52. Sophomore James Hofstra came in third for the team finishing at 20:36, but the real surprise was the personal best time for seventh grader Casen Armstrong, beating his previous time by more than two minutes with a time of 20:54. His brother, sophomore Dawson Armstrong, also had a nice race with a time of 21:42, and Sophomore John LeTourneau cruised past his old personal best by more than four minutes, finishing his race at 22 minutes flat.
The girls also had a great run, with eighth grader Zoe Lehman leading the way, gathering in her personal best time at 25:10. Not far behind was fellow eighth grader Hannah Hofstra (25:16), Freshman Brianna Calkins (25:25), seventh grader Amy LeTourneau (30:16), junior Tatyanna Lawson (30:20), and senior Kaleigh Keech (36:42).
