Yard Sale Fundraiser for Mission Trip

Oct. 10: The Springs Church will be having a yard sale on Saturday, October 10, from 9 am – 5 pm to raise money for construction materials for an upcoming mission trip to Colombia. The sale will be held in the church’s parking lot at 135 N. Grant St. in Cedar Springs. Donations of clean and gently used items for the sale would be greatly appreciated. Items can be dropped off at The Springs Church through October 8th, during office hours, Monday – Thursday 9 am – 4 pm. TOPS weight loss support group

Oct. 13: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are cancelled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Barb at 696-8049 for more information. #40

Community Luncheon/Flu Shots

Oct. 15: Come to Courtland Township Hall and enjoy a catered lunch at 11:30 am for just $7 and get your flu shot from Meijer afterwards. Please bring your insurance information and they can bill. Reservations are required by calling Cedar Springs Area Parks and Recreation at 616-696-7320 by the end of the day Monday, October 12th. #39,40b

Teddy Bear Clinic

Oct. 13: Bring your teddy bear or favorite stuffed animal friend to the library for a quick check-up. Learn ways to keep them healthy and happy and get a clean bill of health! KDL Lab: 3Doodler Dream It, Draw It

Oct. 14: Make your drawings come to life with our 3Doodler! Create simple 3D objects from your own imagination or use some of the provided stencils. Harvest Dinner at Sheridan VFW

Oct. 15: An all-you-can-eat harvest dinner to benefit Montcalm Heritage Village is October 15th from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Lester J. Sitts VFW Post 5065 in Sheridan. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 – 12 and children 4 and younger eat for free. Tickets are available at the door and families are welcome. The menu includes beef stew, coleslaw, corn bread, dessert and beverage. A bake sale also will be available. Chicago Bus Trip

Nov. 14: You can go to Chicago and enjoy a day of shopping, museums, a show, etc. The chartered bus will bring you downtown and pick you up, but you can enjoy the day as you please. The bus will leave CSPS at 7 am and keep you comfortable with Wi-Fi access without the stress of traffic and parking! The bus will leave Chi Town at 6 pm Central/ 7 pm Eastern. Cost is just $45 and space is limited. CSHS Class of 1990 Reunion

Oct. 24: The Cedar Springs High School Class of 1990 25 year class reunion will be held on October 24th at Whitefish Lake Golf Course and Grill/ 19th Hole, Loon’s Nest (lower level), 2241 N. Bass Lake Rd., Pierson. Social hour 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm and buffet dinner at 6:30 pm. The cost is $30 per person. RSVP by October 10th.
