Free Movie at Cedar Springs UMC

Feb. 14: “The Song,” Free Movie, Free Popcorn, Free Drinks. At the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church Saturday February 14th at 7:00 PM one showing only. Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck Commander says,“I want to encourage you to grab your spouse and go check out THE SONG. It is an incredible movie. Korie and I watched it — and we loved it. So do yourself a favor and go see it.” “Ladies, I’m gonna tell you what you need to do,” echoed Duck Dynasty star Miss Kay Robertson. “Grab your husbands, your boyfriends, girls — whoever it takes — and go see THE SONG You will love it, and they will too. Adoptive Family Meeting

Feb. 16: The Cedar Springs Area Adoptive Family Group will meet on February 16th from 6:30 to 8 pm at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church, 140 S. Main St. Any adoptive family in the area is welcome to attend. Please RSVP to Deidra Artecki at 616-458-7945. #6

TOPS weight loss support group

Feb. 17: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are cancelled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Barb at 696-8049 for more information. #6

Blood Drive

Feb. 17: Michigan Blood will have a blood drive at the United Methodist Church in Cedar Springs on Tuesday, February 17th. Note the TIME CHANGE: The drive begins at 12:30 pm and ends at 7 pm. After Sharing your heart on Valentine’s Day, share your blood the next Tuesday. #6

CS Senior All Night Fundraiser

Feb. 20: The Cedar Springs Senior All Night Party Committee and Cedar Rock Sports Plex are hosting a fundraiser on February 20 from 9 to 11:30 pm. $8 per person ($2 skate rental). Cabin Fever Family Movie Night

Feb. 22: Join friends and family at Camp Lily’s for an evening of fun watching a family friendly movie. Check our website or call the office to find out what movie we will be screening. Sunday February 22nd from 6 to 8:30 pm. Donation of $3/ person or $10/family of four or more. Donation covers the cost of popcorn and beverages that will be provided. Cedar Springs Community Players Winter Production

Feb. 26: On February 26, 27, 28 at 7:30pm and March 1 at 2pm at the historic Kent Theater. “No Going Back – An Evening of Extraordinary Circumstances.” We are teaming up with Cedar Springs High School and Creative Technologies Academy to bring you an evening of one-act plays. Each play will be a glimpse into the lives of three people from different periods in history and the extraordinary circumstances they encounter. “The Ugly Duckling” by A.A. Milne will be presented by Creative Technologies Academy. “Actor’s Nightmare” by Christopher Durang will be presented by Cedar Springs High School . “The Devil and Daniel Webster” by Stephen Vincent Benet will be presented by the Cedar Springs Players. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students (age 17 and under) and can be purchased at the Cedar Springs Library or from cast members and directors. Tickets may be purchased at the door (adults $12, students $8).
