Kids didn’t read about reptiles at last Wednesday’s library program to learn about them. Instead, they got to see them in real life! The Cedar Springs Public Library hosted David Critchlow, from Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary at the June 30 program for families at Cedar Springs Middle School.
“It is a reptile rescue zoo whose goal is to create a hands-on and up-close opportunity for people to observe and learn about animals,” explained Shannon Vanderhyde, children’s librarian at the CSPL.
There are fantastic programs for families every Wednesday through the end of July from 2-3 at the CS Middle
School: on July 9 is a Break Dance Crew; on July 16 is a Hula Hoop Lady who can make hula hoops dance around and wow your socks off; and on July 23 is a play with a “Mad Scientist” who will act out his story with a group of actors. Come prepared for big, jolly laughs and a silly story! And don’t forget the Celebration Carnival on July 30 from 2-4 p.m. at Morley Park!
