American Legion Garage – Bake Sale

CASSA Soccer Try-Outs

June 16-18: Come to Boomer Park 13440 Ritchie Ave., Cedar Springs to try-out for CASSA Soccer from 6 – 8:30 pm on Monday, June 16 (U9-U12 Boys only), Tuesday, June 17 (U9-U12 Girls only) and Wednesday, June 18 (U13-19 Girls & U13-14 Boys) Players need shin guards, cleats, soccer ball & plenty of water. Dinner at the Legion

June 16: American Legion, 80 Main St. Cedar Springs, is hosting a Roast Beef and Onions dinner on Monday, June 16th, from 5 – 7 pm. TOPS weight loss support group

Book Buddies at KDL

June 21: Ever want to read to a princess, race car driver or a dinosaur? Now you can! Come check out a Book Buddy from the library and spend 10 minutes reading your favorite book together! There will be lots of special characters to choose from and each one is excited to hear you read. MCC’s Camp WOWme

June 23-27: Writers will learn how to improve their skills during Montcalm Community College’s Camp WOWme – The World of Writing: Multimedia Enhances. Teens who love to write are invited to attend this week long day camp. They will write to different prompts, learn how to avoid getting writer’s block and practice how to convert their written work into amazing multimedia pieces. The camp is offered twice this summer. The first session is June 23 – 27 from 8 am to 4pm on MCC’s Greenville campus and the second camp is July 14-18 from 8 am to 4 pm on MCC’s Sidney campus. Kresta Train and Shannon Powell are the camp co-directors. It is open to youths in grades 7 through 12. The cost is $90. Advance registration is required. Hug a Bug! Bugs for Preschoolers

June 24: Let’s get BUGGY! Insect containers, nets and a bug-finding attitude will be at Howard Christensen Nature Center. To the woods, prairies and more to see what 6-legged creatures live here at HCNC. We will look for eggs and larvae, and inspect the lifecycle of insects. This is a hands on day, come dressed to get dirty, dress appropriately. Tuesday, June 24 from 12:30 to 2 pm. Donation of $4.50 per child – Parents free. The Fallen Heros Golf Outing

July 26: The 5th Annual The Fallen Heros Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 2 pm at the North Kent Golf Club. Grand Prize is a fishing trip for 4. Hole in One contest, 50/50 raffle, other contests with prizes for all! $70 per person includes golf w/cart and steak dinner.
