Vacation Bible School @ Solon Center Wesleyan Church

June 8: Hey kids! Come for “Jus’ Float My Boat” at Solon Center Wesleyan Church beginning Sunday, June 8th from 6:30 – 8 PM. It’s family Night with a gigantic Noah’s Ark bounce house and a hot dog roast for the whole family. VBS continues through Thursday, June 12th where you’ll make new friends, sing great songs, learn all about Noah’s journey with God in the ark and have hands on with the animals. “Jus’ Float My Boat” is for children 4 years old through the 5th grade. Montcalm County Walk to End Alzheimer’s

June 12: Montcalm County Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kick Off will be held at Green Acres Greenville, 1601 Winter Creek Court, on Thursday, June 12 at 6:30 pm. Featuring speaker Mary Ceccanese with “The Power of Gratitude and Its Impact on Alzheimer’s Disease.” There will be Silent Auction, Refreshments and Door Prizes. #23


Fun Events at Spencer Township KDL

June 12 & 17: DIY Spa Products for Teens. Create everything you need for your own spa day! Make your own pampering products like foot scrub, bath salts and body glitter and take some home. Thursday, June 12, at 4:00 pm. June 17: Native American Dancers. Dancing, drumming and stories! Watch traditional Native American stories come alive through a storyteller and dancers, including a hoop dancer. For all ages. Let the Kids Run Wild at HCNC

June 13: The children will be allowed to freely run through the trails (with constant supervision), giving them a chance to be a kid, be free, be outdoors where the air is fresh. They will be able to make noise, yell, and have a good time! We will be playing outdoor Nature Sports, challenging them physically, and giving them a sense of accomplishment. A fun “Nature Find” of finding things only in the outdoors, a day of exploration of Michigan and the beauty, wilderness and so much more. Your child will sleep well this night. Sand Lake High School Alumni Banquet

June 14: The Annual Sand Lake High School Alumni Banquet will be held on June 14 at the Sand Lake Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Social hour starts at 5 pm with dinner at 6 pm. West Michigan Snowmobile Museum Motorsport Swap

June 14: The West Michigan Snowmobile Museum and Library will host a monthly Motorsports Swap on the 2nd Saturday of every month until Fall. All motorcycles, go karts, snowmobiles, mini bikes etc. are welcomed. May 10 is the first swap. Starts at 9 am to 4 pm. $10 to swap. Designing a New Kitchen Garden

June 16: You can have a very productive garden even if you have only a small area to work with! Connie Hanson of Grand Shire Farm will present design ideas for raised beds, container gardening, companion planting and information on vegetables and herbs that grow well in small spaces. Monday, June 16, 6:30 pm at the Sand Lake/NelsonTownship KDL Branch. #23


Buggy about Bugs for the Big Kids

June 17: Six legged creatures among us, let’s find them! Study them! Grab a net and a plastic container or jar and we will be off to the prairie and the woods to see what 6-legged creatures live at HCNC. We will look for eggs and larvae while learning about insects’ life cycles, find predators and prey, catch, and release a bug or two. No log shall be left unturned in this insect adventure. At the end of our day we will recycle out insects in fish food at our lake Chrishaven. Grades: 8 years old up to 100. Limited to 25. Parents are encouraged to join along (not required).
