JV boys golf hampered by weather


The Cedar Springs Boy’s JV Golf Team finally got their season started by competing in three matches last week. Monday, April 21, at Boulder Creek, the Red Hawks shot a 226 in the first OK Bronze Jamboree finishing 6th. Nick Rethamel shot a 48, Bradly Barnard 54, Brayden Harper 60 and Cam Patin 64. Wednesday, April 23, at Brookside, the Red Hawks shot a 229 finishing 6th at the jamboree. Nick Rethamel 53, Nick Scott 54, Bradley Barnard 58 and Brayden Harper 64.

At Cedar Chase, the boys finished 2nd to Lowell, and Sparta came in 3rd, in a tri with a team score of 227. Drew Simington shot a 53, Rethamel and Scott and Kody Hall carded 58s.

“It has been a tough start to the season because of the weather,” said Coach London. “We will hope for it to get warmer and improve these scores.”
