AA Meetings at Rebos House 

Rebos House, 10 N. First St., Cedar Springs is open on Sunday, 9 am, 2 pm and 7 pm. Monday, noon, 7 pm Big Book, 8:15pm, Tuesday, noon, 5:30 women’s, 7 pm men’s & women’s. Wednesday, noon, 7 pm 12X12, 8:15 pm. Thursday, noon, 7 pm, Alanon 7 pm. Friday, noon, 7 pm and Saturday, 8:30 am, 10 am, 2 pm and 7 pm. #18


Spring Rummage Sale

May 1, 2: The Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake will host a Springs Rummage Sale on Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd from 9 am to 5 pm. #18


Spring Craft and Vendor Expo

May 3: Hope Community Church, 7000 Myers Lake, Rockford, is presenting its Spring Craft and Vendor Expo on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10 am – 3 pm. More than 25 crafters and vendors covering a lot of unique territory! Includes caricature artist, wood décor, stuffed animals, handmade jewelry, fabric goods, clothing, books, tools, cleaning products, skin care products, food and kitchen products, tote items and so much more! We truly have the best variety we’ve ever had and look forward to your stopping by! #17,18p


Cub Scout Flower Sale

May 3, 4: The Cub Scouts are having their annual flower sale. The dates of the flower sale are May 3 and 4, 10 and possibly the 11th from 9 am to 5 pm. The location will be a White Creek Lumber. If there are any questions you can contact Daniel Menefee 616-232-5931. #17,18p


Dinner at the Legion

May 5: American Legion, 80 Main St. Cedar Springs, is hosting a baked chicken dinner on Monday, May 5th, from 5 – 7 pm. Included will be mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, veggies, salad, dessert and drinks. The cost is $9 for adults, children (15 and younger) $4.50. Come and enjoy home cooking. TOPS weight loss support group

May 6: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are cancelled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Martha at 696-1039 for more information. #16


Rummage Sale at Sand Lake UMC

May 8-10: A rummage sale will be held on May 8th and 9th from 9 am to 5 pm and May 10th from 9 am to 12 pm. Sand Lake United Methodist Church, 65 W. Maple St. #18


Michigan Blood Drive at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church

May 15: St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will be hosting a Michigan Blood Drive on Thursday, May 15th from 2 to 7 pm at 310 E. Division, Rockford in the Fellowship Hall. Please call 866-MIBLOOD for more information or to make an appointment. Walk Ins welcome. #18,19p


Faith Based Guitar Boot Camp

May 19: A basic training for guitar will be taught at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church. Registration will be held Monday May 19th at 6 pm. Students must be registered on this date. To register, enter at the South door located on Church Street. Class size is limited to 12 students, first come, first serv. Registration fee is $55. A parent or guardian is required to sign. Guitar and supplies are furnished. Classes will be Monday evenings for 12 weeks starting June 2nd. Classes will provide a time for prayer and devotion. #17-20p


2014 Howard City Alumni Banquet

May 24: The Howard City Banquet will be held on May 24th at the Heritage United Methodist Church, 19931 W. Kendalville Rd., Pierson, Michigan. Social hour 6:30 pm and dinner at 7 pm. For reservations contact Don Bozwinkle at 616-696-2252 or Don Bauman at 231-937-5648. Cost is $17 per person and reservations are due by May 17th. #18
